Araucaria heterophylla, commonly known as the Norfolk Island Pine, is a striking evergreen conifer native to Norfolk Island, a small island in the Pacific Ocean between Australia, New Zealand, and New Caledonia. Despite its name, it’s not a true pine—it's part of the Araucariaceae family, which also includes the monkey puzzle tree and hoop pine.
