Iceberg lettuce is a productive variety particularly recommended for home gardeners. Smooth, crispy, large leaves take on an appetizing, juicy green color and have a shiny surface. Leaf edges are ornamentally serrated and do not have too many wrinkles. It supplies tasty salad material. Its leaves are stiff and firmer than those of the butterhead lettuce.
