Care Instructions for Kalanchoe houghtonii
Sunlight Requirements:
Kalanchoe houghtonii thrives in bright, indirect sunlight but can also tolerate some direct sunlight. It is best placed in a spot where it can receive morning sun and afternoon shade, such as near an east-facing window. Too much direct sunlight, especially during the peak hours, can cause the leaves to scorch, so be mindful of its placement.
Water Requirements:
This succulent prefers infrequent but deep watering. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings to prevent root rot. In the growing season (spring and summer), water thoroughly every two to three weeks. During the dormant winter months, reduce watering to once a month or even less, depending on indoor humidity and temperature.
Difficulty Level:
Easy.
Pet Friendliness:
Kalanchoe houghtonii is not pet-friendly and can be toxic if ingested by cats or dogs.
