Ficus Religiosa “Sacred Fig Tree”
A large dry season deciduous or semi ever green tree up to 30 metres tall and with a trunk diameter of up to 3 metres with wide-spreading branches, semi- or fully deciduous in monsoon climates, and broadly ovate, glossy, leathery, dark green leaves, 10-17cm long and 8-12vcm broad, with unusual tail-like tips. Bears pairs of rounded, flat-topped green figs, 1-1.5cm across, ripening to purple with red dots.
