Cassia Fistula
Cassia fistula is Spreading, semi-evergreen to dediduous tree producing bright green leaves, to 60cm long, each with 6-16 ovate leaflets; the older leaves are shed in winter or during periods of drought. Fragrant, bright yellow fowers, to 4cm across, are borne freely in pendent racemes, 20-40cm long. Height 8-12m, Spread 3-5m. Native of S.E. Asia, Pacific Islands, Central and South America.
